The Options abstinence curriculum is being implemented
in the elementary and high schools. Components of the program are also delivered as part of the Independent Living program.
ABSTINENCE EDUCATION

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES CLUBS based on
multiple intelligences theory involving computers, art, publishing, drama, careers, music, and sports are offered
Fall, Spring, Summer.
ATHLETIC TEAMS Boys varsity and junior varsity, girls varsity, cheerleaders, track.
LUNCH CLUBS: Clerical skills and cosmetology.

COUNSELING/VALUES GROUPS
Small groups of students meet to discuss decision making and issues related to sexual behavior.

MENTORING
Mentors from local business mentor students during the school at lunch time. Other community members mentor students after school and on weekends. Teachers also mentor students in a Teacher Buddy program so that each student has meaningful contact with a caring adult.

VOCATIONAL PROGRAM
Students work as Junior staff for clubs and participate in an extensive agency directed career skills development program in which students work
on campus in clerical, computer, food service, and construction jobs under
supervision.

PROGRAM FOR YOUNG MEN
Values clarification groups are conducted by coaches with male role models on sports teams to develop and reinforce a code of responsible behavior.

PARENT TRAINING
Workshops for cottaage staff/foster parents/parents are held at Graham and in the community by agency social workers.
